Teresa Thian Siew Lin immersed herself into the world of making things look beautiful. She stands by her philosophy, which is to incorporate fashion into everyday lifestyles. With a deliberate French flair, her designs for both men and women exude sophistication and whimsical fun, suitable for mix and match for day and night, which sets her collections apart.

Teresa's designs are created specifically to compliment the women's silhouette which defines ultra feminine yet be comfortable. Making a separate but still connected, the men's clothing exudes confidence, charismatic, and carefree. Excellent quality fabrics, with keen attention to detail and custom made embellishments in unexpected places are the hallmarks of her work, reflecting the passion Teresa derives from her life.

The Kedah-born designer graduated from Raffles Design Institute Kuala Lumpur in 2005, during of which her graduation collection titled 'Thai One On' was awarded the Best Collection. Instead of opting to complete her degree, she was fervent to bring her skills into the fashion world.

After a short stint as a fashion coordinator at a department store, she opened 1927 Design Sdn Bhd to produce her own label Gallo by Thian in 2006. The name "Gallo" originates from the Italian translation of her Chinese name, Siew Lin.

Gallo by Thian opened its doors to the public at its standalone boutique in Bangsar Baru in 2007. Since then, the label is known for its distinctiveness and individualism among fashion mavens in Malaysia and across the globe. To date, the label has been featured in various international fashion shows including the Bangkok International Fashion Fair, Singapore Fashion Week, Who's Next and Zip Zone in Paris, and Japan Fashion Week.

In December 2009, Gallo by Thian moved its flagship boutique to Bangsar Shopping Centre followed by the second boutique at The Gardens Mall in November 2010 and the other stores followed suit. The label that offers apparels, footwear and accessories continues to astound the fashion-savvy with its panache for fashion which spreads its wings even further into the global fashion market, taking its hard-earned place among Malaysia's top designers with stockists in Spain, USA, and Saudi Arabia.
